ASR: B8: A “Spiritual” Child In A Non-Spiritual World

Two-way mirror perspective
Because when you look in the mirror,
you only see yourself.
So, you allow yourself to be who you see.
Thinking you are alone with only your reflection,
you cry the tears you held up inside,
you say the things you are afraid others to hear.
You make plans; not knowing I am on the other side —
privileged to your true self.
I can see every tear,
hear every sob,
and my heart hurts for you.
~~~~~
In a world where you can see only your reflections
and the reflections of others around you.
You wear masks to hide your true self,
so very afraid to be judged.
Because you are taught you must judge others
to be able to survive.
Because of this you cry silent tears of isolation
and loneliness.
Thinking yourself alone,
no one cares that your actions matter — that you matter.
You blindly hurt yourself.
Thinking you hurt no one,
when in actuality,
you have hurt me —
and everyone on my side of the mirror who can see you.
But is render helpless to help you.
You also render those on your side,
helpless to help you as well.
When you hide your pain from them until it is too hard…
too late,
to do anything about.
Because you are overwhelmed
by what you are taught
and is too attached to
only what you think you know.
~~~~~
Just like your reflection in the mirror,
you put your faith in misguided teaching
and believes.
Only seeing the superficial appearance on the surface.
Standing before that mirror you convince yourself you are alone,
but in actuality,
you are far from alone
or abandoned.
Entities capable of limitless love are hurting.
They come to you just because you needed them,
but when they emerge from the other side.
You judge them
based only on what you do not know,
and treat them like those in your world.
You send them away
and cry silent tears
and woolly in self-pity once more.
